Sparkle Toothpaste has invested 50 million Baht in developing the Sparkle Coffee and Tea Drinkers’ Whitening Toothpaste, which promises to help reduce yellow stains and bad breath caused by the continuous drinking of coffee or tea. It will help rid and lessen the build up of yellow stains, plaque, and various other stains on natural teeth coating. Their secret weapon is Micro White Silica which is small enough to clean and break down long lasting stains. Sparkle is launching a new commercial “Love your coffee and tea without caring about odors or stains”. The campaign “trade your old one for a new one” will send specialists out to office buildings throughout Bangkok, hoping the campaign will boost Sparkle into becoming the number one brand for teeth whitening. Sales targets have been set at 300 million Baht.
Mr. Dajrit Na Takuathung, Deputy Managing Director of Kuron Company Limited, which owns Sparkle, the leading brand in oral hygiene said that the market of toothpastes has grown continuously, especially in the segment of tooth whitening. We are proud to say that Sparkle continues to grow at a satisfactory rate. Nowadays, a majority of Thailand’s office employees drink even more coffee and tea than before. So in order to take care of this group of customers, Sparkle has launched a new product to help consumers who may experience more problems of yellowing teeth. We are proud to announce the launch of the Sparkle Coffee and Tea Drinkers’ Whitening Toothpaste, a toothpaste developed especially to take care of people who love to drink coffee and tea. We use the power of Micro White Silica and with its small particles are able to remove and reduce the accumulation of yellow stains, plaque and various other stains which appear on tooth coatings. The qualities of PVP help shatter yellow stains on natural enamel which are caused by coffee and tea without damaging natural coatings. It is gentle and safe for gums.
In addition, the Sparkle Coffee and Tea Drinkers’ Whitening Toothpaste contains CDX which helps reduce bad breath often found in coffee and tea drinkers, leaving them with fresh, healthy breath.

Mr. Dajrit went on to say that Sparkle’s uniqueness in the market has become obvious. We are now the leading brand when it comes to teeth whitening because we were the first ones to tackle this market, giving us a genuine understanding of the market, its consumers, and how effective products must be. In the past year, Sparkle has enjoyed an annual growth rate of 18% in a market which is valued at around 8.624 billion Baht. The toothpaste market grew 3%, divided into 29% growth for regular toothpaste, 35-36% growth for therapeutic toothpaste, 22% growth for herbal toothpaste, 10% growth for whitening toothpaste and 3% growth for children’s toothpaste. We forecast that this year, the toothpaste industry will grow even further because consumers are now paying even more attention to their oral health, choosing products which cater to their specific needs and personal use. Currently, Sparkle manufactures and markets three main groups of tooth whitening products which include toothpastes, toothbrushs, and accessories. Sparkle products are represented in 12 product series and 21 stock keeping units. Our best selling product is the Sparkle White Toothpaste followed by the Sparkle Triple White Toothpaste.
This year, Sparkle is focusing on traditional trade marketing channels in order better reach our target group of consumers. We have set a marketing budget of 50 million Baht, incorporating various communications tactics such as cinema commercial spots, online advertising, print media, outdoor media and point of purchase strategies. That’s not all. We have planned other marketing activities to better connect with our consumers. This includes our newest commercial which targets tea and coffee lovers in particular.
We are also launching a campaign “trade your old one for a new one” by sending specialists out to office buildings throughout Bangkok, hoping the campaign will boost Sparkle into becoming the number one brand for teeth whitening. Sales targets have been set at 300 million Baht.
