Should we brush our teeth right after meal?
Based on the research, touching food or beverage which have acidic conditions between meal will soften the enamel. The tooth brushing right after consuming food or beverage which have acidic conditions will increase chances to have the tooth corrosion.
The person who has risk to increase the tooth corrosion always consumes food or beverage which have acidic conditions such as orange family, vinegar and soda drink (including sweetened soda, diet soda and sparkling water).
Therefore tooth brushing right after meal may harm your teeth because your teeth are polished by the acid from food and beverage. The teeth which contact with acid for a long period may harm or dilute the layer of the enamel. To reduce the tooth corrosion, you should use water to clean your mouth right after meal and wait for 30 minutes before brushing your teeth.
